Plans have been announced to open the world’s largest Mercedes-Benz facility in the early part of next year.
The facility is to be constructed in the Mussafah district of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE.
Included in the development will be an energy efficient office structure, reflecting modern design aesthetics and panoramic lifts.
The development will be opened by The Al Fahim Group’s Emirates Motor Company and will include a showroom, service centre, spare parts centre and multi-storey parking lot.
Saeed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, chairman of Al Fahim Group, said: "Establishing the largest mixed-use Mercedes-Benz facility in the world will mark the realisation of one of the company’s key objectives, while placing Abu Dhabi on the global map for cutting edge automotive centres."
Overall, the facility will be spread over one million square feet.
The main headquarters of Mercedes-Benz can be found in Stuttgart, Germany, but production lines also exist in countries such as the UK, Canada and China.
